The objective of Drama-based Public Speaking for advanced beginners is to expand and challenge your public speaking ability with higher levels of requirements.
Each session will revolve around a presentation format, ranging from improvised to prepared, from random to personal and/or work-related material.
As advanced beginners, participants should have regular public speaking experience (e.g.: work-related presentations, media facing etc.).
In the course, participants will be required to:
- bring a ‘real-time’ speech/presentation/assignment for practice & presentation
- complete presentation evaluation forms under tutor’s guidance with given evaluation parameters - be filmed for in-class feedback or critiques.
It is recommended for participants should have some regular public speaking experience or have previously taken EXCEL’s Drama-based public Speaking. The course is conducted in a small group of 8 students to ensure ample attention given to each student.

導師簡介
導師﹕霍氏(Howard PALEY) 是一位專業演員、導演、戲劇老師和公開演講教練。
霍氏對表演藝術充滿熱情，曾於不同戲劇、音樂劇、廣告、電影和商業角色扮演擔任導演、表演和指導等職位。
他其後於紐約和洛杉磯深造，花了 20個月的時間沉浸在表演、場景研究和試鏡技巧中。憑藉其獨特的方法論以及戲劇和商業經驗的融合，霍氏在亞洲各地工作，為歷峰集團、萬寶龍、 君悅酒店、雅詩蘭黛、高力、葛蘭素史克、怡和、太古、百事可樂、菲利普莫里斯國際、The Gap、牛奶公司、澳新銀行、瑞銀、德意志銀行、香港金融管理局等。 他還在中學和高等教育機構任教，包括演藝進修學院、汕頭科技大學（STU）、廣東以色列理工學院（GIIT）、香港大學、城市大學、香港科技大學以及眾多本地和國際學校。
霍氏最近舞台工作包括：
· 舞台導演：演藝進修學院的羅傑與漢默斯坦的《灰姑娘》、《七兄弟的七個新娘》和百老匯《我來了》。
· 瑪莎·諾曼的《夜晚，母親》，麗貝卡·吉爾曼的《男孩得到女孩》
