DSE Applied Learning Practical Skills for DSE Success Applied Learning Course Taking a Chance on Dance Cohort 2025 – 27 Timetable Phase 1: To be announced Phase 2: To be announced Phase 3: To be announced Taking a Chance on Dance is one of the Applied Learning (ApL) courses offered to senior secondary students as an elective subject within the senior secondary curriculum. This course focuses on the aesthetic aspect of dance by engaging students in ta holistic experience as people, dancers and makers of dance through the “Three Key Learning Processes: Performing, Creating and Appreciation”. It involves learning to perform and create dance, learning to appreciate and appraise dance, and using dance to support cognitive learning. The course also provides an all-around training to students, in developing their creativity and imagination, and on the other hand enhancing their interpersonal relations and self-confidence. Part-time Course Operation Assistants Part-time Course Operation Assistants are needed to support the part-time performing arts learning courses provided by HKAPA EXCEL. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and provide operational & logistical support such as class set up, equipment preparation, and live support to different courses and programmes. Handle phone calls and walk-in enquiries Handle course enrolments Liaise with students, tutors, or parents on course arrangement. Provide general administrative and clerical support such as data entry, stock check, etc. Perform ad hoc task requests as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: Good command of English, Putonghua and Cantonese Proficiency in MS Office applications (including MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing) Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills Experience in learning centre support or knowledge in AV equipment is an advantage Work Place: HKAPA Wanchai Campus or other hired venue Work Time: at least 3 hours each time in the evenings, Sat, Sun, or public holidays.
