    About EXCEL Extending Performing Arts for All About EXCEL / Join Us / Join Us EXCEL (Extension and Continuing Education for Life) provides high quality performing arts education through short courses, full-time programmes, customised workshops, and performance-based productions. We are now seeking high calibre candidates to join our growing team. If you enjoy performing arts, good at administration, and share our vision in bringing community impact through performing arts and education, we would love to hear from you! EXCEL is a non-profit making subsidiary of HKAPA. Programme Coordinator (Productions) We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Programme Coordinator to assist our Programme Team in the smooth execution and operation of EXCEL’s musical programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in EXCEL’s annual musical production and to develop innovative musical education initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding programme delivery and promotion, including scheduling rehearsals, arranging venues, drafting social media post, and coordinating media and artists. Manage participant-related matters such as attendance records, publicity, and the issuance of notices. Plan and oversee the recruitment and scheduling of freelance production members. Assist with musical promotion, including social media marketing and outreach efforts. Coordinate ticket sales and manage sponsor relations to support productions. Coordinate photography and videography during the rehearsals and performances. Develop the programme book and oversee poster design. Assist the Producer in executing productions and collaborating with various departments. Requirements: University graduate in business, arts management, or a related field. Ideally, two years of work experience in non-profit, or arts sectors. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Programme Assistant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese. Competent in computer software, including Zoom, Teams, and MS Office; knowledge of image or video editing is a plus. A good team player who can multitask and is willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the programme. Immediate availability is an advantage. Terms of Appointment Appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract. Contract may be extended at the end of two years with satisfactory performance. Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications are open until the post is filled. PROGRAMME ASSISTANT The Programme Assistant will assist the Programme Team to assure the smooth execution and operation of EXCEL programmes. The Programme Assistant needs to perform general course administration and office duties, including but not limited to admission and enrollment services, venue scheduling, course promotion, arrangement of course materials and equipment, maintenance of student and tutor records, database management, handling enquiries, and other ad hoc duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: A Higher Diploma or above. Preferably with one year work experience, but fresh graduates will also be considered. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. strong sense of responsibility and attentive to details. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua could be an asset. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and Chinese word processing; and Available to work shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Part-time Course Operation Assistants Part-time Course Operation Assistants are needed to support the part-time performing arts learning courses provided by HKAPA EXCEL. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and provide operational & logistical support such as class set up, equipment preparation, and live support to different courses and programmes. Handle phone calls and walk-in enquiries Handle course enrolments Liaise with students, tutors, or parents on course arrangement. Provide general administrative and clerical support such as data entry, stock check, etc. Perform ad hoc task requests as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: Good command of English, Putonghua and Cantonese Proficiency in MS Office applications (including MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing) Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills Experience in learning centre support or knowledge in AV equipment is an advantage Work Place: HKAPA Wanchai Campus or other hired venue Work Time: at least 3 hours each time in the evenings, Sat, Sun, or public holidays.     Terms & Conditions Curriculum Dancing Jazz Dance Tap Dance Academic Subjects The Performing Arts Industry Professional Development Musical Theatre History in Practice Singing Singing Vocal Repertoire Drama Acting Entry requirement Applicants must be 16 years old or above, have completed HKDSE or equivalent, and pass the subject of English Language; or non-local qualifications such as a GCE AL, IB Diploma; High School Graduation Diploma or SAT, etc… All candidates must pass an audition. Experience in acting, singing and dancing will be an advantage. Application Procedures Complete an application form and return it with the following documents to HKAPA EXCEL, 1 Gloucester Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong. Completed application form. A headshot-to-waist photo and a full-body photo. Photocopy(ies) of academic and/or professional qualifications. A photocopy of identification document (HKID card or passport). A cheque for application fee payable to “EXCEL Ltd.” Audition Applicants will be invited to attend an audition. Candidates need to prepare the following: A one-minute presentation of monologue from any plays. A one-minute presentation of a song from any musicals or related styles. Candidates must provide their own pianist or prepare an MMO in CD format. At the audition, candidates will be taught a series of dance combinations and requested to present it before the panel of judges. A cheque of the Registration Fee payable to “EXCEL Ltd.” on or before the audition.
