This course is an introductory course in theatre directing, using “Life’s Journey” as its central creative theme. It guides participants to understand the core role, creative responsibilities, and modes of thinking of a stage director within theatre-making.
 
Approaching creation from the director’s perspective, the course explores how fragmented life experiences and real stories can be transformed into performance concepts with strong theatricality and dramatic structure.
 
Through the practice of Devising Theatre, participants will work as directors to respond to source material and lead the creative process. From developing themes to organizing material, the course gradually builds an understanding of how directors make artistic choices and decisions throughout creation.
 
Emphasizing everyday life as a starting point for theatre-making, the course enables participants to experience how directors transform lived experiences into theatrical language in an accessible and observant manner.
 
The course is suitable for individuals with experience in watching or participating in theatre productions who are interested in the work and creative role of a theatre director. No prior directing experience is required.
 
Through group collaboration and hands-on creative practice, participants will experience first-hand how to develop a complete stage production process from personal life material, applying directorial thinking and methods step by step.
