Tutor: Kwok Tsz Wan
Aubrey graduated from the Griffith University and obtained Master of Applied Theatre and Drama Education. She also graduated from the School of Drama of the Academy and acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) degree with first class honour. After graduation, she worked with various theatre companies.
Throughout the past decade, Aubrey has developed expertise in directing and teaching drama and acting. She is also experienced in using drama as an effective tool in different kinds of training.
Aubrey started practicing ballet at the age of six. She was the choreographer’s assistant in 1841, choreographer of The Call Of The White Orchid and Sailing City, choreographer, movement and vocal creative team member of Blood Wedding. After her graduation, she was the choreographer for Forever And Ever (re-run). She also took part in the choreography and movement directions for Departure 00:00, Peach Blossom Fan, Sweet & Sour Hong Kong, Peter Pan, Zheung He and The Emperor since joining the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre in December 2001.
In 2003, Aubrey attended the Odin Week in Denmark organised by Odin Theatre (founder Eugenio Barba), and the acting workshops conducted by Barba. In 2004, she was nominated the Best Actress (Comedy/Farce) at the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies’ 13th Hong Kong Drama Award for her work in Haunted, Haunted Little Star. In order to upgrade children, teenage and the adults’ knowledge of performing arts and their art sensitivity, Aubrey started to focus on teaching performing arts since 2007. She cooperated with different theatre groups and academies to produce drama and dance courses of varying aspects.
In 2005, Aubrey successfully directed Corinthians 13 of Rep 2 Series. Her acting credits include Secret of Resurrection, A Matter of 4×6, A Dream Like a Dream, Let Me Love Once, Love In a Fallen City, Red Sky (workshop performances), Tomorrow is Another Day, Haunted, Haunted Little Star, Shall We Go To Mars?, Peach Blossom Fan, Cabaret, Rotate 270°, Whose Life Is It Anyway?, Vassa Zheleznova, The Bindliness, The Chaozhou Groom and The Lost and Found Trilogy.
Aubrey has been teaching Theatrical Acting at HKAPA EXCEL and engaged as Part-time Lecturer of Performing Arts Appreciation in the International College of Hong Kong Baptist University. Since 2017, Aubrey is the drama/acting teacher for the Pearson BTEC Level 4 programme in Musical Theatre offered by HKAPA EXCEL.
Tutor: Lam Ching
Lam Ching is a tran / multi-media producer who is known to cross match elements of different art forms to produce many inspiring art pieces. After finishing his studies in commercial design and mime in Hong Kong, he worked as a creative director in an advertising agency. He also worked as a theatre director and actively participated in film industry.
In 1996, Lam established "dd duck" Theatre Company and has been leading the company as the Artistic Director. In 2002, he was appointed as the Creative Director of "Rainbowland" Theatre Company. In 2008, Lam was invited by the "GlassStudio.HK" to be an Artist – in – Residence. At the same year, Lam was also invited as the Creative Director in Hong Kong Mime Festival. In 2012, Lam was invited by the Hong Kong new arts group "Wowohho Space" to be an Artistic Director.
Lam directed numerous productions, his theatre works are experimental, containing literary, theological and humanistic components. By bringing essences of film to the stage, Lam's theatre work often gives people an unconventional impression. In the hope of providing more opportunities for young working adults to upgrade their design and arts skills, Lam started teaching in varying aspects, including Design, Art Direction, Film Production, Theatre Production, Directing, Acting, Mime, Masks, Face Painting and Clown skills. These courses were held in different private organizations, public associations (Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Hong Kong Culture Centre), primary and secondary schools. He also was a visiting guest sharing Art Direction in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and a Part-time Lecture in the HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education. With his professional and sophisticated experience in film industry and theatre, Lam’s teaching provided new inspiration for his students.
