The unique thing about Hong Kong is that Hong Kong embraces both Chinese and Western cultures, also blending the old and new traditions. This environment always attracts local and overseas filmmakers to film in Hong Kong. Wan Chai, as one of the early development areas in Hong Kong, features many filming spots, from pre-war tenement buildings and the bars on Lockhart Road to the arts and exhibition centre near the seaside. The film tour, led by film and cultural workers of Hong Kong, will explore various corners of the district, providing an in-depth introduction to Hong Kong films shot in Wan Chai from the 1980s to recent years. It will also share interesting myths and anecdotes with all who are keen to know about films, allowing us to rediscover our city through scenes.
