Classical Chinese dance carries the essence of Chinese cultural expression in its movements, postures, and aesthetics. The Advanced course focuses on classical techniques, including turns, jumps, spinning skills and other techniques. Through working on various combinations, it aims to develop techniques, rhythmic vitality and style of the students.

 

The course is suitable for dancers with at least five or more years of recent training in Chinese Dance. Students should bring along their own dancing shoes to class.

  • Tutor's Profile

    Tutor: Hon Kwok Yiu

    HON graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He joined the Education Union of the Chinese Dancers Association in the same year. He taught at the Dance Academy after his graduation and was a guest lecturer of the Academy’s School of Dance from 1988 to 1989. He has been a part-time teacher of Academy’s School of Dance since 1992.
