WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?
PLAY WITH VOICE™ I: Vocal Expression and Communication for Beginners is the foundational course in the PLAY WITH VOICE™ Voice and Communication Series. It introduces the essential mechanics and artistry of the human voice through the 4As framework curated by the coach:
•Awareness – Discover and appreciate the unique qualities of the human voice.
•Alignment – Connect body, breath, and voice to build a harmonious foundation.
•Articulation – Strengthen clarity and precision through phonation and articulation practice.
•Authenticity – Uncover and embrace the true voice within you.
Over 5 sessions (each 2.5 hours long), participants will explore the 4As through interactive talks, discussions, and practical voice work inspired by actor voice training methods. You will have the chance to bring your voice to life through activities such as community singing, poetry reading, speech delivery, voice acting, culminating in a final presentation individually, in pairs, or in small groups.
This foundational experience prepares participants for further exploration in PLAY WITH VOICE™ II: Shaping the Storytelling Voice.
