This 5-day intensive programme is designed for young dancers aged 8–12 to strengthen their ballet foundation while exploring the dynamic expression of theatre jazz. Combining technical training with creative exploration, the course nurtures both discipline and artistic sensitivity.
At the final lesson, students will participate in a small in-class showcase to present their learning.
Training Focus:
- Ballet Technique & PBT Conditioning: Students will engage in focused ballet training supported by Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), enhancing strength, alignment, coordination, and body awareness.
- Music Sensing & Movement Exploration: Students will develop musicality through guided exercises, exploring movement textures and expression in response to music.
Theatre Jazz Training
- The inclusion of theatre jazz broadens students’ dance vocabulary, helping them connect different dance styles and enhance performance versatility.
Dress Code:
Dance attire (leotard / practice wear) with appropriate soft ballet shoes. Hair must be neatly secured.
Props:
Please bring one small ball (5–6 inches).
*Suitable for: Students with at least 1 year of ballet or Theatre dance training.
