Progressive Ballet will develop higher technique at the barre, greater speed, and more demi-pointe work to help students increase stamina and flexibility. This course is based on the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and CSTD (The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing) senior level. The course also aims to achieve complex enchainment, focusing on personal expression, musicality, and spatial awareness.
The course is for participants who have completed at least four times EXCEL’s Foundation Ballet course or who have one to three years’ prior training in Ballet or with equivalent experience to RAD Grade 5.
** This course includes a live piano accompanist.

Tutor's Profile
Tutor: Mak Suet Leung Lowintry
Lowintry is a Hong Kong Baptist University graduate who began her career as a full-time dancer with City Contemporary Dance Company and Hong Kong Ballet following the completion of her studies. In pursuit of further growth and development, she journeyed to Japan in 1982 to embark on advanced studies.
Upon her return to Hong Kong, Mak proceeded to create numerous works such as Martyr for Soul and Kami Ni to U for Hong Kong Ballet and earned widespread acclaim for her artistic contributions. Since 1985, she has also served as a tutor at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Currently, Lowintry serves as the Artistic Director of Chapio Youth & Children Ballet Company, where she continues to bring her expertise to bear in the field of performing arts.
